Design up for grabs
A hotel room simply cannot exist without its own bathroom. This naturally includes the necessary hygienic expectations of tourists, expectations that Delabie can easily meet with its extensive range of taps and sanitary appliances. To take away some of the medical look, Delabie uses a beautiful design and the trend colour black, including in the Be-Line® range.
Delabie makes it a point of honour to develop taps, accessories and sanitary appliances for public areas and hospitals that meet the highest hygiene requirements. The French manufacturer also sets great store by energy and water saving. But Delabie also has a wide range available for hotel bathrooms. These combine the aforementioned hygienic properties with an attractive design. The trend colour black completes it all. Svea Wagemans of Delabie: "Our Be-Line® design range consists of handles and seats that make life easier for seniors and people with reduced mobility. Taking a refreshing shower in the room after an outing, it is certainly also possible for those who have more difficulty walking."
Delabie's entire range is constantly evolving, with new products being added and others being upgraded. Be-Line® is also expanding systematically. The most recent addition is a folding and detachable handle. When folded down it is a great help, when folded up it hardly takes up any space, making it ideal for fitting in a shower or near the bathroom. Due to its discreet design, the handle hardly stands out in the bathroom. "More so," adds Wagemans. "You can easily remove the flip-up handle and replace it with a cover plate, for example. So you can install a handle when needed and remove it again when that need is not there. Installing only when needed means that a hotel only needs a limited number of handles in stock."
Black has since become a colour in its own right in interiors. Not just as an accent colour, but also as the main colour in a kitchen or a bathroom. And hotel interior designers have also embraced black as a keeper. Delabie has been on the trend train for some time with the Black Spirit range of washbasins, toilets and electronic taps, and is now adding black as a full colour for the products in the Be-Line® range. Wagemans: "Sanitary ware is increasingly considered a signboard, so it is natural that we follow the trends with our design line. The rounded shape remains, as does the flat anti-rotating front. Together, they offer a more ergonomic and optimal grip."
