De succesvolle editie van Design Nation Berlijn die op 22 & 23 oktober debuteerde in Station Berlin maakte méteen een sterk statement in de wereld van design en meubel vakbeurzen. Exposanten bevestigen enthousiast dat dit concept exact is waar ze naar op zoek waren: high-profile bezoekers, kwalitatieve gesprekken en een heel sterke belangstelling voor hun innovatieve design objecten. Het unieke format kan best omschreven worden als een belangrijke mijlpaal die toonaangevend is en het landschap van design beurzen ingrijpend verandert.

Highlights

• Station Berlin was the ideal setting for an inspiring mix of exhibitors looking to showcase their very latest design objects in furniture, lighting, kitchen design, textiles and more.

• Visitors gained tonnes of inspiration and could follow trend insights on the Trend Stage, with sessions by Fabian Freytag, Sigurd Larsen and Svend Jacob Pedersen (Spacon & X).

• Less is definitely more: - the unique layout and neutral shades make every design object stand out.

‘Our objective is very clear: to connect high-end brands with design professionals active in project and contract environments. To offer this important community a platform where they can discover innovative design objects that are well thought-out both aesthetically and functionally,’ emphasises Hannelore Caenepeel - Business Unit Manager, Design Nation. ‘Station Berlin was the location of choice for this, so mission accomplished!’

Feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike emphasised the absolute added value of face-to-face meetings, networking and tangible experience - elements that are more essential than ever in a rapidly changing digital age. The fact that Design Nation is spot on, but only takes up limited budgets and time, was also particularly well received.

What's next?

‘Like the industry, the team behind Design Nation never stands still! Already, talks are being held with key stakeholders, exhibitors and visitors to make the format more performant and take it to an even higher level. While this first German edition marks a revolution and was particularly well liked, growth will be the next important step.’
