Fost Plus is the driving force behind an ecosystem that aims to prevent raw materials from becoming waste. By working closely with citizens, businesses, governments and experts, we are building sustainable material chains and contributing to a better world.

Sustainable materials management

The realisation that our way of producing and consuming weighs too heavily on the environment has thoroughly penetrated society. Raw materials are valuable, but not infinite. Packaging companies are taking a pioneering role, with and via Fost Plus, by encouraging sustainable material management among everyone. Fost Plus wants to get that circular transition into people's minds and hearts. The more everyone starts to design sustainably, reuse, repair, preserve or recycle, the more we keep everything of value valuable. Everyone has a role to play in this. We want to facilitate, accelerate and innovate that transition. 

Our role in society 

Fost Plus was established in 1994 to fulfil the take-back obligation of its members. We therefore created efficient structures so that the public can always and everywhere sort correctly; together with companies, we improved packaging design with a view to better recycling; we developed a local recycling chain. But the world is changing and with it our role. From design and (re)use to recycling; wherever raw materials are used to make (packaging) materials, we want to ensure that they can be used in a sustainable, infinite chain. Fost Plus is ISO 9001 certified. This is how we show our partners that our processes meet international standards and that we place great value on continuous improvement.
