A guest entering your hotel room should receive a warm welcome. With wall decoration coordinated with your interior, you create an optimal balance and contribute to your customer experience. In the world of hospitality, it is essential to create a unique experience for your guests. Harry Schurmans and Olga Zelenko of Euro-Art explain how they contribute to this.
Paintings, framed art photos or art prints: they are so much more than the finishing touch to your space. Carefully selected wall decorations define the look and atmosphere of your guest rooms, hallway or lobby. It can therefore be overwhelming to look for them yourself. Euro-Art takes the work off your hands and creates a wide selection of art to give the walls of your hotel some much-needed je ne sais quoi.
"There are simple interventions that can contribute to a feeling of luxury and comfort," says Olga Zelenko of Euro-Art. "With wall decoration, a lick of paint and accessories, you can already achieve a lot without remodelling. With a different colour and a new painting, your interior will look completely different. This is what we like to help our customers with. Sometimes we work together for a longer period of time. We then work towards the final result in stages."
Euro-Art always starts a new project from a mood board or 3D-render from your architect, or based on a visit to your hotel. Manager Harry Schurmans: "We always look at the total picture of an interior. Our proposal is perfectly coordinated with the furniture, wallpaper, seats, paint and cushions. It is important that everything is in harmony with each other to create an optimal experience and give hotel guests a warm welcome. When guests enter the entrance hall or their own room, they should immediately feel harmony and balance. The picture has to be right. That's why we start from the interior for our first proposal."
That proposal consists of a wide selection of artworks, both from Euro-Art's stock and custom-made decoration. "Our selection is entirely according to the taste of the customer or his interior designer. That is very personal. What we do is custom-made art. We can create different styles, such as art deco, super modern, classic or a nice mix. We completely tailor our art and wall decoration to the customers' tastes and preferences. Our customers don't just want decoration but also something that integrates into the interior. In 80 per cent of our cases, we present new work that is made specifically for the customer, and therefore not from our existing collection. For a Ghent hotel, we just had some modern, abstract works made based on their colour palette. The client was very surprised that we were able to make a proposal for the interior design in just a few weeks," Olga proudly says.
From the initial proposal, the customer chooses which works they want on their hotel walls. If necessary, Euro-Art adds a few more paintings or prints, after which production gets underway. The team has everything they need to deliver quickly. Harry: "Euro-Art has been around for fifty years and therefore has good contacts with its suppliers in the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. In addition, our workshop is fully equipped to measure, print, paint and frame immediately. Because we do so much ourselves, we have no limitations when it comes to dimensions, quantities and complexity. Price, quality, materials, timing: everything has to be right for the best end result. Durability and quality of materials also play a major role for us. We use wooden frames that are crafted in our workshop."
When all the works are ready to be hung in their new home, Euro-Art prepares it as meticulously as possible. With a 3D-render, they show you where your works will look best. If you prefer to trust the professionals, the team will come on site to hang the wall decoration. This way, each work hangs exactly where it is intended.
