Responding to clear demand from travellers

French hotel chain B&B HOTELS, already present in eight major Belgian cities, recently opened the doors of a twelfth branch. With 255 rooms, the newly built hotel close to Zaventem airport is also the brand's largest establishment in the country. This is the third B&B HOTELS in Brussels, in addition to the strategically located hotels at the South Station and in Ixelles near Avenue Louise.

B&B HOTELS now has 12 branches in our country.

Founded in 1990 in Brest, France, B&B HOTELS is one of Europe's largest budget-friendly hotel chains. The group has more than 900 hotels across 19 countries in Europe, Brazil and the United States. Half of them are in France and 12 branches can be found in our country. In this way, the French hotel group is strengthening its presence and interest in the Belgian market. B&B HOTELS' very first location in our country came in Antwerp in 2018, followed by additional hotels in Ghent, Hasselt, Mechelen, Namur, Liège and, last year, two more in Mons.

The B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport now opens the group's largest Belgian hotel. “We want to sustainably anchor our brand here,” says Grégory Marchand, Director of Sales & Revenue of B&B HOTELS Belgium and Luxembourg. “We chose a strategic location close to one of the most connected airports in Europe, offering travellers reliable, comfortable and affordable accommodation. With this hotel, we want to do our bit for international mobility and further support the economic attractiveness of Brussels.”

Like the other B&B HOTELS hotels, you will find a concierge service, a breakfast buffet, secure bicycle storage and parking with charging stations.

Gateway to the capital

B&B HOTELS“ ambition for our country does not stop there. The group wants to further strengthen its presence in major tourist and economic centres. ”We aim to have a total of 25 to 30 hotels by 2030, with an occupancy rate of 80 or 76 per cent, if you include newly opened hotels. We are clearly responding to a very concrete demand from travellers," Marchand stresses.

B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport has 255 rooms with modern, functional and comfortable décor and a wide range of services: quality bedding from the Bultex brand, adjustable climate control for an optimal temperature in any season, free and unlimited Wi-Fi and a flat screen in the bedroom with a wide choice of TV channels. Each room also has a private bathroom. Moreover, hotel guests choose from a variety of room types: double rooms with double bed or two single beds, superiour rooms and family rooms for up to four people. Ten rooms are specially equipped for persons with reduced mobility. Like all other hotels in the group, B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport also offers a concierge service, a breakfast buffet, secure bicycle storage and parking with charging stations.

Boost for local employment

The opening of the hotel is good news for local employment, creating around 20 new direct and indirect jobs. B&B HOTELS thus employs about a hundred people in Belgium. The group attaches importance to the continuous training and development of every employee. This is done through a partnership with HoReCa Forma and specific, targeted training depending on the position. “We consider it extremely important to know what our employees want to achieve in their careers so that we can offer concrete perspectives. Currently, 85 per cent of our staff are very satisfied with their jobs. Some 91 per cent of them appreciate the working environment and 97 per cent have confidence in our group's strategy,” Marchand said.

B&B HOTELS tripled the number of hotels in the past decade. Good for meteoric growth. And that is anything but a coincidence. The French group owes its success primarily to a clear vision for its more than 900 hotels worldwide. Since its foundation in 1990, the group has had one goal: to offer affordable, quality accommodation to everyone everywhere. No big words are needed for this. The DNA of the Brest-based hotel chain is contained in one promise. Grégory Marchand articulates it as follows: “We promise a stress-free stay: practical, cordial and at the right price. This is how we make every overnight stay more modern, welcoming and connected than ever.”
