B&B B'Guest relies on whisper-quiet air conditioning for invisible guest comfort

In a stylishly renovated historic building, right in the centre of Bruges, B&B B'Guest welcomes you in an environment where luxury and wellness take centre stage. Behind the historic façade are not only stylishly decorated rooms, but also a smart technical solution: a high-performance and discreet air-conditioning system by Mitsubishi Electric. Manager Caroline Demol opted for modern comfort without visual impact. The installation was carried out in cooperation with craftsman Wim Foulon, with whom she had previously worked successfully. The result is practical, durable and whisper quiet - exactly what today's guests expect.

B&B B'Guest, located in the seventeenth-century 'Oud Huis Pierre Vandamme', is a unique place in the heart of Bruges. Four luxurious rooms, a spacious city garden, a heated outdoor swimming pool and private wellness make this bed and breakfast a special address. The stylish interior and peaceful atmosphere form a harmonious whole. "Our guests come here for peace, comfort and quality. A perfectly functioning, silent air conditioning contributes greatly to this," says Caroline Demol, who runs the Bruges B&B together with her husband Gert Verhoestraete.

"We had good experiences with installer Wim Foulon before, which made the choice for this collaboration obvious," says Demol. "For a residence like B'Guest, you want units that are quiet and blend seamlessly into the interior. Mitsubishi Electric's solutions matched that perfectly."

The right solution for every space

A multisplit air-to-air heat pump system from Mitsubishi Electric was chosen for B'Guest's four guest rooms. The combination of one (MXZ-4F80VF2) outdoor unit type multisplit with three (MSZ-AP) compact wall-mounted units and one (MFZ-KT) floor unit guarantees energy-efficient heating and fast cooling. "A big advantage of these air-to-air systems is the flexibility to both cool in summer and heat in winter. These air-to-air heat pumps deliver excellent heating comfort, and in a particularly efficient way without fossil fuels," explains Stijn Somers, Account Manager at Mitsubishi Electric. "Moreover, the units are ultra-quiet and easy to operate via wireless thermostats or via our Melcloud app."

In the wellness area, the elegant MSZ-EF35VGKW designer wall unit guarantees rapid heating of the room. "Ideal for guests who want to relax after a day in the city," says Somers. A heat pump solution was also chosen for the private residence on the property. An air-water heat pump with EHST20D-VM6D indoor unit and integrated 200-litre boiler is responsible for space heating of the entire house and for heating the domestic hot water. "With this solution, we are fully in step with the future in this respect too," Demol knows.

Discreet technology with an eye for aesthetics

The installation paid close attention to aesthetics and integration. "We used the existing wooden floors to hide the pipes. This preserved the character of the building and there was no visible impact on the interior," it sounds.

The result is fully in line with the style and look of the building. "The air conditioning does not stand out and does its job perfectly. Our guests hardly hear or see the system, but they do feel the difference," Demol says with satisfaction.

Comfort like at home

B'Guest guests also comment on how important air conditioning is for their comfort. "Two of our rooms face south and would get too hot without air conditioning," says Demol. "Many guests even explicitly say that the presence of air conditioning is decisive for their booking. This is why we state this clearly on our website and booking platforms." User-friendliness also plays an important role here. "We give our guests a brief explanation so that they can operate the units easily and efficiently, just like at home."

With technology from Mitsubishi Electric and careful execution, today's comfort is fully integrated into B'Guest's historic charm. "The result is quiet, discreet and really contributes to the satisfaction of our guests," concludes Demol.
