French hotel chain B&B HOTELS, already present in eight major Belgian cities, recently opened the doors of a twelfth branch. With 255 rooms, the newly built hotel is also immediately the brand's largest establishment in the country. B&BHOTELS is highly regarded in Brussels, where it already has two strategically located hotels at the South Station and in Ixelles (near Avenue Louise). The group is now opening a third location in the European capital, close to the international airport. B&B HOTELS, which has more than 900 hotels in 19 countries, owes its success to value-for-money positioning and simplified accessibility.
“The counter stands at 12!” French hotel group B&B HOTELS is expanding its presence in Belgium, reinforcing its interest in the Belgian market. After a first establishment in 2018 in Antwerp, B&B HOTELS shifted up a gear in autumn 2024 with the opening of two hotels in Mons. With B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport, the group's largest Belgian hotel will now be added. “The opening of B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport demonstrates our commitment to sustainably anchoring our brand in Belgium. We chose a strategic location close to one of the most connected airports in Europe, offering travellers reliable, comfortable and affordable accommodation. With this hotel, we want to do our bit for international mobility and further support the economic attractiveness of Brussels.”, says Grégory Marchand, Director of Sales & Revenue of B&B HOTELS Belgium and Luxembourg.
B&B HOTELS maintains a clear ambition and wants to further strengthen its presence in major tourist and economic centres. By 2030, the group aims to have a total of some 25 to 30 hotels. “With an occupancy rate of 80%, or 76% if you include the newly opened hotels, we are clearly responding to a very concrete demand from travellers,” stresses Grégory Marchand.

B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport has 255 rooms with modern, functional and comfortable furnishings and a wide range of services: quality bedding from the Bultex brand, adjustable climate control for an optimal temperature in any season, free and unlimited Wi-Fi (ideal for work or relaxation) and a flat screen in the bedroom with a wide choice of TV channels. Each room also has a private bathroom.
Moreover, hotel guests can choose from a variety of room types: double rooms with double bed or two single beds, superior rooms and family rooms for up to four people. Ten rooms are specially equipped for persons with reduced mobility.
Like all other hotels in the group, B&B HOTEL Brussels Airport also offers a concierge service, a breakfast buffet, secure bicycle storage and parking with charging stations.
The opening of the hotel is also good news for local employment, creating about 20 new direct and indirect jobs.
B&B HOTELS currently employs around 100 people in Belgium. The group attaches importance to the continuous training and development of each employee. This is done through a partnership with HoReCa Forma and specific, targeted training depending on the position (leadership, CSR, compliance, managerial training, etc.). “We consider it extremely important to know what our employees want to achieve in their careers so that we can offer concrete prospects. Currently, 85% of our staff are very satisfied with their jobs. 91% of them appreciate the working environment and 97% have confidence in our group's strategy.”
B&BHOTELS' meteoric growth - the number of hotels has tripled in the past decade - is anything but a coincidence. The French group owes its success primarily to a clear vision for its more than 900 hotels worldwide. Since its foundation in 1990, the group has had one goal: to offer affordable, quality accommodation to everyone everywhere.
No big words are needed for that. The Brest-based hotel chain's DNA is contained in one promise. Grégory Marchand articulates it as follows: “We promise a stress-free stay: practical, welcoming and at the right price. In this way, we make every overnight stay more modern, welcoming and connected than ever.”
