The month of June is entirely dedicated to the opening of the newest Valk Exclusief hotel in the Groene Hart. After an intensive construction and finishing phase, the countdown has begun. The team is preparing to welcome its first guests. After a trial period, the opening will be communicated via the social media channels of Valk Exclusief and Hotel Woerden.
Hotel Woerden has 144 rooms, consisting of different types: comfort rooms, family rooms, and luxury suites. The hotel rooms will be finished at the beginning of May and ready for the first overnight stays. The suites will be opened in phases, so that each space can be completed with full attention.
Hotel Woerden is also taking on a distinct character in terms of culinary offerings. The restaurant will soon become the lively heart of the hotel. With experienced chefs Stephan and Emile van der Pluijm at the helm in the kitchen, guests can expect contemporary hotel gastronomy.
The interior of Hotel Woerden has been designed in detail with one clear vision: peace, space, and connection with the surroundings. The character of the Green Heart has been translated into the use of earth tones, green accents, and natural materials, including warm walnut wood. Round shapes play an important role in the interior and seamlessly connect with the building's architecture.
Brother and sister Rik and Nikki van der Valk will be taking over the daily management. Alongside them, a full management team and a young, enthusiastic hotel team will soon be ready. The team was already involved during the construction period to ensure a smooth transition to the opening.
“Throughout the entire project, Rik and I have been given the freedom to let our vision speak for itself,” says Nikki van der Valk. “It feels an honour to be leading this hotel. We're hugely looking forward to opening and welcoming our guests.”
Van der Valk Hotel Woerden comprises 144 rooms and a restaurant, alongside a hotel bar, meeting rooms, a luxury wellness area with a spacious gym, ample parking, a Valk to go shop, and stunning views of the Green Heart.
