Sorting waste has long ceased to be an optional exercise for the hospitality industry. Amidst stricter regulations, rising waste costs, and new European obligations, pressure is mounting on catering businesses to manage waste and packaging more intelligently. However, according to Fost Plus, this doesn't have to be complicated. “We've noticed that small interventions, in particular, often already make a big difference,” says Christine Vermeulen, Out-of-Home Project Manager at Fost Plus.
Quality Lodgings is taking the next step in its international growth strategy with the addition of nine new hotels in Austria, Germany and Belgium. The collection is thus growing to 134 independent quality hotels across eight European countries. The expansion fits within Quality Lodgings' ambition to further position itself as a leading group of independent quality hotels in Europe.
The hotelier is no longer the endpoint of check-in. They are increasingly becoming the starting point for a fully automated guest journey. For SALTO Systems, the term Inspired Access aptly summarises this evolution: access is no longer a purely technical act, but a smart link between guest experience, security, operations, and data.
