Following the success of previous editions, including a very well-received edition in Berlin, Design Nation returns to Kortrijk Xpo on 15 and 16 October 2026 – stronger, more international and more innovative than ever. In the meantime, Design Nation has grown into the benchmark for decision-makers active in hospitality, healthcare and workspace design. A high-end B2B platform where knowledge, aesthetics and forward-looking design come together.
Quality Lodgings is taking the next step in its international growth strategy with the addition of nine new hotels in Austria, Germany and Belgium. The collection is thus growing to 134 independent quality hotels across eight European countries. The expansion fits within Quality Lodgings' ambition to further position itself as a leading group of independent quality hotels in Europe.
Food waste remains a persistent challenge for the hotel sector. Nevertheless, it turns out that relatively small interventions can quickly make a big difference. The ibis Budget Hotel in Ghent also discovered this, participating in the European project Hotels Cut Waste together with FoodWIN. The result? A decrease in food waste of 32 percent and a process that pays for itself within the year.
