Hotel T has opened its doors in Waregem!

The "Horse City" welcomes brand new 45-room boutique hotel.

This summer, the young "thoroughbred" West Flemish entrepreneur Tine Van Canneyt (barely 33 years old!) officially opened Hotel T, a luxurious yet very accessible hotel in Waregem's Stationsstraat. Spread over three former mansions, the property offers every comfort and facility, including meeting rooms, an indoor swimming pool and contemporary, varied food concepts for every moment of the day. Hotel T becomes the meeting place the city needed to pamper the business community, tourists and locals throughout the day.

We are writing 2017. Barely 27-year-old Tine Van Canneyt drives home determined after a long day at work with a plan. "I am going to open a b&b". At the time, as executive secretary at ventilation and awning company Renson, Tine is always on the lookout for the perfect lodging and meeting venues for the company's clients and international employees. Only... she finds few, if any. Six years, quite a bit of building and renovation work and a pandemic later, the b&b ... has become a 45-room hotel. "All my life I dreamed of having my own hospitality business, with event rooms, a breakfast room, a bar....", confesses an enthusiastic and determined mum of two and plusmum of two more young children. The name of her youngest, fifth "child" typifies Tine through and through: Hotel T.

After all, an intense brainstorming session at the time resulted in ... one letter: T. Hotel T obviously refers to Tine, but also to Coming Home, the feeling the owner of the new hotel wants to convey above all. "No unnecessary blabla, straightforward, straightforward" is how you can describe Tine. Social, warm-hearted and driven, she goes through life. She also wants this feeling to radiate at all times in the brand-new business that Waregem so badly needed to give social cohesion an extra boost. "Coming Home, Dining, Toasting, Time for Business and Total Experience. But especially for Coming Back, there is always a T-rigger to come to us" jokes Tine.

Boutique-house concept

Hotel T is not only the only hotel in the historic centre of the "city in gallop", it also looks unique in many ways. "A smooth mix of architectural and interior styles with a timeless design ". The facades of the historic buildings exude a sense of well-kept secret. They spontaneously invite you to explore the heart of the hotel. The first steps past the former carriage entrance immediately plunge visitors into a distinct, airy atmosphere. The surprise is complete when the tranquillity of the inner garden makes you forget that the city ring road is nearby. Hotel T is both central and easily accessible. 27 garden rooms ranging from 17.5 m2 to 34 m2 offer every comfort and accessibility, even for disabled customers or guests who prefer to stay on the ground floor. The petanque court makes it even cosier. 

A stroll through the garden with its historic trees draws your attention to the horizontal window: look down for a moment and you might immediately want to take a dip in the underground pool (4 m by 9 m) or unwind in the infrared cabins. 

Business and leisure market

Trade & Tourism: the T remains ubiquitous. Guests of local, national or international origin are bound to find their liking here. The 20-strong staff is always on hand to cater to the clientele's every need in a casual but impeccable style. "If you want to make every guest feel at home, you have to find a nice balance of a coherent whole where different styles can fit together seamlessly," Tine further explains. This comes out very strongly when the exploration of the three former residences and as many floors, reveals old elements. A total of 18 brand-new rooms were created on the first and second floors. 

Decorated in blue ochre hues, the first-floor rooms discreetly revive the former mansion's generous character with dark gold and ornate moulures.  

On the second floor, the rooms surprise with an even different interior style from the garden rooms and the first floor. A more airy look and feel, a fresh, younger interior decorated with white and pink stripes fits perfectly into a hipper lifestyle. 

Sustainable local

Hotel T meets all the requirements of a public that increasingly looks for sustainable values and is concerned about future generations. As a young mum, Tine also wants to lead by example: biodegradable soap in refillable bottles, a green roof and solar panels, enclosed storage for bicycles and in the underground garage (12 spacious loading and parking spaces in addition to 19 regular parking spaces), rental bicycles for eco-friendly travel, Hotel T also signs with the T of Future-oriented.

"And why look elsewhere for what you can find in the region? Moreover, with the best quality as a guarantee?" Tine knows both established and young entrepreneurs in the area inside out. Renson, Revor, Unilin, furniture manufacturer PR Living, tile manufacturer De Sloover, Valpottery the Boutique House Hotel in Stationsstraat seems like a flagship of West Flemish entrepreneurship and its continuous pursuit of excellence. 

Everyone welcome, from 6.30am to...

Tine insists on welcoming both business people and local curiosity seekers equally warmly. Not only do all facilities remain accessible to all visitors at all times, each day starts and ends with fun formulas, a breakfast (from 6.30 a.m.), brunch, lunch or tapas formula (bar bites & more from 5 p.m.) that flow seamlessly together. So you can enjoy à la carte dishes at the bar of the stylish Bar T or in the dark green-cognac cosy living room.

The adjacent 'orangery' overlooking the courtyard garden and Bar T will undoubtedly become a privileged space for private dinning, strategic meetings and business lunches.

Tine is getting ready to welcome her first guests. She can be proud; her boutique-house concept perfectly meets what Waregem has been missing until now. Anyone who wants to come and work during the day with their laptop in an inspiring atmosphere is more than welcome. And those looking for a job might find the perfect employer in Hotel T!
