Allergen-free rooms without chemicals: new standard in hotel hygiene

More comfort, fewer resources: smart approach to depth and air purification

The HYLA EST is the most widely deployed HYLA system in the hotel sector worldwide. The compact unit combines deep mechanical cleaning with active air purification, without chemicals, filters or disposable parts. Dirt, dust, pollen and allergens are captured in a powerful water filtration system. 

Once the device is running, not only the surface is cleaned, but also the air. “The number of people with allergies is growing, so allergen-free rooms are becoming increasingly important. Thanks to international certificates, hotels can prove that their rooms are truly allergen-free. With ordinary cleaning, this is not possible.”  

Technology aligned with hotel reality  

The HYLA EST is designed for everyday use. Thanks to its water filter technology and various attachments, it cleans mattresses, carpets, furniture, curtains, floors as well as air. “Carpet adds atmosphere to a room,” says Paulovich. “But cleaning is crucial, especially at coastal hotels. Sand scours the floor.” So one unit replaces several, saving on equipment, storage and maintenance.  

The easy operation makes the system suitable for housekeeping. HYLA provides not only technology, but also on-site training. “We make sure staff understand the operation and use the device efficiently. Some hotels have been using it smoothly for more than 20 years. So the durability is proven.” 

HYLA Air Vitality: clean air, healthy skin 

HYLA is launching an innovative addition to its air and room cleaning system: the HYLA Air Vitality Microbiota. According to Paulovich, this new formula not only purifies the air, but also supports skin health naturally. “Thanks to postbiotic action, Air Vitality helps to soothe, protect and restore the skin. This ensures a fresh environment as well as skin that stays in top condition. Our system, already known for its powerful air purification, thus becomes a total solution for indoor climate and well-being.” Extensive tests and scientific validations confirm its efficacy. 

Added value for guests and staff 

Some hotels actively mention deep cleaning with HYLA products on their booking platforms. “We know of several customers who do that. Guests appreciate it and see it as a real plus, as they experience more comfort and peace of mind during their stay.” 

Because the HYLA EST operates completely chemical-free, staff also benefit: no fumes, no skin irritation, and less long-term stress. For hotels with a sustainability policy, this is often a hard requirement. “At one of our customers, chemical-free cleaning was a prerequisite. HYLA matched this perfectly,” says Paulovich.

Impact inside and outside the sector  

By 2025, HYLA aims to expand on this mission. Besides commercial applications, HYLA also deploys its technology socially. Every month, a HYLA EST will be donated to a location where air quality is vital, such as residential care centres or institutions for lung patients. “We know that our systems work. That's why we will also share them with people who need them most.”
