IT partner Van Hessen has its roots in the Netherlands, where it was already active in the sale of POS systems, among other things, at the beginning of the last century. Expansion into West Africa followed some ten years later.

From room management, event management and online booking for hotels to POS systems, inventory management, takeaway and kiosk solutions for the food and beverage market," Van Hessen managing director Kris Christens continues. Van Hessen has been an Oracle Hospitality Partner for Benelux and West Africa since 2014. The company also offers other brands for an end-to-end IT infrastructure tailored to the customer's needs. Kris: "We always start from the specific needs of our customers and search together for the best solution for their business. We carry out the configuration and installation, and guide customers during start-up. We do this both through on-site training and by actively taking part in a number of shifts. Furthermore, we have e-learnings available, useful for quickly introducing new staff, as preparation for a new system or as a refresher."
The modular, cloud-based solution Opera Cloud targets the hotel market and works on any type of device. Thus, the package includes a basic, standard and premium version for smaller hotels to larger chains. Expansion with integrated sales and event management is also possible. The platform is prepared for multi-property and allows different locations to be configured from a central point and adapted locally. For bars and restaurants, there is MICROS Simphony: an advanced, intuitive POS platform integrating purchase and stock management, as well as online ordering and kiosks. Finally, Van Hessen has both fixed and portable cash registers and kiosks in its portfolio.

"Our support contracts are flexible and tailored to the market. For hardware, we have both preventive and ad-hoc maintenance contracts.
