EuroWheelz makes e-chopper rental easy

Tourists are no longer simply looking for a nice place to stay. Increasingly, the complete experience is the deciding factor when choosing their hotel. With its e-chopper rental, EuroWheelz adds an attractive, adventurous experience to hotels and holiday parks. Without much effort on the part of the operator.

A touch tough, a touch adventurous, but at the same time accessible and above all sustainable. That's how to describe EuroWheelz's e-choppers. Since 2018, these have been rented out at hotels and holiday parks. Meanwhile, in Belgium, forty e-choppers are available for rent at nine different locations. In addition, 110 vehicles have already been sold to rental companies in our country. 

"We have rental locations in seven countries," says Joeri Melissant, manager EuroWheelz Belgium. "In each of those countries, we have a separate entity. This allows us to arrange insurance and registration all smoothly. In fact, we make it as easy as possible for hotel operators to offer our e-choppers. We are also responsible for major maintenance, the online reservation system and marketing. All our partners have to do is load the e-choppers for their guests and hand over the keys. Without investment, without worries and with a revenue model."

Sustainable entertainment

The e-chopper offers a surprising alternative to offering electric bikes, for example. EuroWheelz's model, by the way, is perfect for those who have no experience with this type of vehicle. A driving licence or moped certificate suffices. From the low saddle, you easily keep both feet on the ground, while the wide tyres promote stable handling. "We find that mainly couples or small groups of four rent the e-choppers. Although it is also possible for larger groups," says Joeri. "A partnership is dynamic, by the way. We switch quickly and scale up and down according to demand."

Besides facilitating rentals, EuroWheelz offers e-chopper routes at each location. The booking email includes a link to the online routes. To make them easy to follow, the choppers are equipped with a phone holder. By plotting beautiful rides along the coast, in the greenery or through an attractive city, renters are guaranteed an enjoyable experience.

Partner has the floor

The focus is mainly on the larger hotels and holiday parks in Belgium. You can also rent an e-chopper at the Van der Valk hotel in Ghent. For the hotel, this addition to their service has proved to be a good choice. "With the sturdy e-choppers, our guests can enjoy our beautiful nature area between the Leie and the Scheldt in a truly sustainable way," says Severine Van Reeth, front office event manager at Van der Valk Gent.

EuroWheelz: "If the location is suitable and there is enough potential, we are definitely interested in even more new partners. We aim for at least seventy rentals per chopper per year. Hence, we most often end up at large parks and hotels. But e-choppers are also available and bookable online for those not staying at hotels. As a result, the hotel itself does not necessarily have to be the biggest to have sufficient rental potential."■
