Technology without losing the hotel's identity

Quality Lodgings supports its international collection of 126 independent hotels with a network of leading hotel technology partners.

Technology is changing hospitality at lightning speed. For many independent hotels, the question is: how do you keep innovating without losing your identity? Quality Lodgings (QL) supports its member hotels in this respect with a carefully selected network of international hotel technology partners that supports the entire guest journey. This makes Quality Lodgings one of the most progressive hotel collectives in Europe in terms of technology for independent hotels. Whereas many hotel chains and consortia work with fixed technology packages, Quality Lodgings deliberately opts for a flexible approach: technology must adapt to the character of the hotel, the team and the guest - not the other way around.

Technology as a silent force behind authentic hospitality

Within Quality Lodgings, personal hospitality is always central. Technology plays a supporting role in this: as a silent force that simplifies processes and unburdens employees. “Our role is not to impose systems, but to guide hotels in their choices,” says Peter Heule, Product Manager at Quality Lodgings. “Thanks to our knowledge of both technology and hospitality, we select partners that suit the individual hotel. The scale of the international QL Collection allows the collective to realise purchasing advantages and make innovation accessible to independent hotels.

High Tech, High Touch: Technology creating space for personalised hospitality

For Quality Lodgings, technology always remains supportive of craftsmanship. The strength of member hotels lies in personalised service, culinary excellence and characterful venues - technology helps better showcase these qualities. “We strongly believe in a high-tech, high-touch approach,” says Sander Allegro, Chairman Quality Lodgings. “Smart technology removes complexity so that staff have more time for the guest.”

Technology partners across the entire guest journey

The technology partners support hotels in different phases of the guest journey: from online visibility and revenue management to hotel operational processes and maintaining guest relations after departure. Partners such as Porter, RevControl, Revinate, Lobby, MEWS, Hotek and Runnr.ai help hotels operate more efficiently while enhancing the personalised guest experience. “Within Quality Lodgings, technology is not about standardisation, but about enhancing the individual hotel and personalised guest experience,” says Quinten van Overest, of MEWS. “The collaboration shows how technology can be scalable, while leaving room for each hotel's identity.”

Knowledge sharing via QL Back to School

Technological innovation will also take centre stage during QL Back to School, where QL Hoteliers and technology partners will come together to share experiences and insights on the digital guest journey of hotels. “As an independent hotel, you want to keep innovating without losing your identity,” says Liset Bom, owner of Hotel de Sterrenberg. “Through Quality Lodgings” network of technology partners, we were able to simplify processes and create more time for personalised hospitality."
